The subjects included are mustering, dinnercamps, yardwork, cattle dogs, mustering helicopters and station planes, roadtrains, bronco yards, gardens, bush races and stockcamps. As station horses are still essential for mustering on most stations the chapter on horses is the second largest in the book. Stock horses are included in almost half the photographs.

The book is a matt finish hardcover with a gloss-laminated dust jacket, 305 x 200mm landscape format. 160 pages, 13 chapters and a glossary of outback expressions that show the typical dry humour of the bush.
