Beautiful! Take photographs of course, just like everyone else does! The road had been closed in preparation for the finish of the Tour of Britain cycling race. Every night was a three course dinner. And during the day, we got to test out the menu at a huge range of eateries, from quirky little local pubs to restaurants like Jamie Oliver&#8217;s. As was so often the case, the early cloud cleared to give us a beautiful mild, sunny day. The ferry is huge; multiple levels with really comfortable lounge chairs, cafes, some shops and lots of vehicles on board, including trucks carrying livestock.<\/p><\/div>\n<div id=\"attachment_3290\" style=\"width: 310px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.fionalake.com.au\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/10\/2013-09-01-15.34.20-Brendan.jpg\"><img aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-3290\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-3290\" title=\"Driving in to a farm in Ireland\" src=\"http:\/\/www.fionalake.com.au\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/10\/2013-09-01-15.34.20-Brendan-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-3290\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">We visited many farms and the bus drivers (this is Brendan, who took us around Ireland) did an amazing job of negotiating narrow, winding farm roads hemmed in by ancient stone fences.
