RIRDC’s ‘Rural Women’s Award’<\/a>:<\/p>\n

This year I was honoured to be one of the Queensland finalists.\u00a0 The project I proposed was to run a national, multi-industry competition for short videos featuring farm conservation; from positive every-day decisions farmers make in favour of the environment, up to innovative, large-scale projects.\u00a0 This RIRDC project had a multitutde of potential benefits and the potential to be an international and annual competition.<\/p>\n

HeadOn Photo Festival:<\/a><\/p>\n

This year is the first time I entered Australia’s largest photography competition, held annually in Sydney.\u00a0 My Brunette Downs aerial photograph called ‘Straight as an arrow – almost’ was a finalist.\u00a0 The Landscape Award finalist exhibition was on display in the Fountain Court Gallery in NSW Parliament House for 5 weeks (April-June 2016). Attending some HeadOn exhibition openings, panels & workshops was fantastic.\u00a0 So much useful information and interesting conversations, and so many great photographers, including a number from other countries. Highly recommend attending – very inspiring! I have know Bill Bachman & Moshe Rosenzveig for many years, but it was the first time we met in person.\u00a0 There’s a good article on Moshe, festival instigator and driving force, in the Sydney Morning Herald.<\/a><\/p>\n
