Koolatah Station, North Queensland, still for sale

Koolatah Station, in Queensland’s northern Gulf region (between Kowanyama and Mareeba) was listed for sale with Dick Larkin, of Landmark Queensland, in 2008. The station has miles of frontage onto the Alice and magnificent Mitchell River, and the homestead complex is located right beside the permanently-flowing Mitchell. As is usual for northern Australian stations, offered on a WIWO (Walk-in-walk-out; i.e. all plant, equipment & stock included) basis, for $13.5 million. Approximately 13,500 head of cattle are included in the sale.

Koolatah was auctioned on 7 May 2009 at Rocky’s Beef Week, however the station was passed in for $12.25 million.
