Macquarie Bank owned Paraway Pastoral Co now has a website detailed the properties owned, with satellite photographs and regional maps showing locations – although there is no overall map showing the geographic spread of all the properties owned.
Paraway Pastoral Co properties include one Northern Territory property – Walhallow Station (an amalgamation of Walhallow Station and Creswell Downs pastoral leases, located towards the northern end of the Northern Territory’s Barkly Tableland region), plus a number of cattle stations located in Queensland’s Gulf Country: Clonagh Station (an amalgamation of Clonagh, Kalmeta and Violet Vale Stations; located north of Cloncurry; with Cloncurry River and Corella Creek frontage), Amraynald Station (near Burketown, with Albert and Leichardt River frontage), Gregory Downs Station (an amalgamation of Gregory Downs and Planet Downs Pastoral Leases; located south of Burketown, with extensive Gregory River frontage) plus Gregory Farm (south of Burketown, with reliable irrigation water from the Gregory River, for hay production); plus one Queensland Channel Country property – Davenport Downs (an amalgamation of Davenport Downs and Palparara leases, located in the north-western channel country, between Boulia and Winton; with Diamantina River and Farrahs Creek flood-out country).
New South Wales properties owned by Paraway Pastoral Company (mostly dryland & irrigated farming, plus sheep and cattle) include: Pooginook (run in conjunction with Stud Park North; located NW of Jerilderie in the Riverina and included in the Colleambally Irrigation Scheme [Colleambally is just 10km to the north]), Steam Plains (run in conjunction with Euroka; north of Conargo, in the Southern Riverina district; also included in the Colleambally Irrigation Scheme), The Bulls Run (run in conjunction with Deepwater; and located NW of Wagga Wagga in the Eastern Riverina; with extensive Murrumbidgee River frontage), Borambil (an amalgamation of three properties – East Borambil, Ellerslie and Grassmere; SE of Condobolin, in Central NSW; with Lachlan River frontage) and Burindi (operating in conjunction with Lugwardine; located SW of Barraba, in the New England Region; with Barraba Creek and Manilla River frontage).
A very well picked portfolio of quality farms and sheep and cattle stations, almost all with very valuable frontage onto Eastern Australia’s major river systems.
