Two of the most thought-provoking and interesting blogs I’ve come across are by female Australian scientists, both with years of experience working in scientific fields. One website belongs to Western Australian Jo Nova, and the other to Queenslander Jennifer Marohasy. Jennifer spent her early years on the family farm near Darwin, and has lived in Indonesia, Madagascar and Africa. Jennifer Marohasy’s website is extremely witty but pithy and to the point – read her story ‘Vegetarians not kinder or healthier’ (which was published in The Land newspaper) and check out the summary of ‘Popular Articles’ on the home page. Jennifer is a public speaker on global warming and ‘Climategate’ and is currently writing a book on environmentalism. If it is half as well written as her website, it will be a great read.
Fiona Lake Blog
Unique books featuring Australia's largest & most famous outback cattle stations.
These coffee-table style books contain more than 800 photographs taken on almost 60 cattle stations across the top of Australia. The photos show true-to-life colours and genuine people in authentic, everyday situations. Looking through these books will make you feel like you are there amongst the dust & action, solitude & silence. These books are enjoyed by every age and people from all walks of life, all over the world. And they're especially appreciated by people who are hard to buy gifts for. But there's no need to take my word for it - read what other people have said about the books in testimonials. Or find out more about the book contents.
