Sale of AMH to JBS Friboi

JBS (‘Jose Batista Senior’) now owns AMH (Australian Meat Holdings). JBS Friboi was already South America’s biggest beef processor, and with the purchase of U.S.-based Swifts are now the world’s biggest beef processors. Townsville Bulletin and Courier Mail articles.

S.A. Bans animals under 200kg from participating in rodeos

The S.A. Minister for all sorts of things including mental health, is going to give the RSPCA more than half a million dollars for a couple more inspectors, and has banned animals under 200kg from participating in rodeos.
